Update from Riverworks
Dear community members, partners, and supporters,
We would like to bring you and update on some available resources for individuals and businesses. We have received many questions about where to access information to stay up to date with some of the changing circumstances, and we are working hard to provide answers through our website and social media platforms.
Riverworks Financial Clinicis a hub for dealing with financial challenges. With all the issues facing our community, this is a difficult time financially for many. If you are confused about what help is available, who is eligible, and the future implications---you are not alone! This is especially true for the stimulus "checks" that our federal government is disbursing. To answer these questions check out our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)page on the Riverworks website. This page provides current information on stimulus checks, taxes, and other timely financial issues.
A Business Directory is in the works! In collaboration with the Riverworks BID, the King Drive BID, the Riverwest Business Association, and other organizations, we are putting together a business directory for the 53212 zip code. That includes brick and mortar businesses located here, as well as in-home businesses for individuals who work, live, or vend in the area. This directory will let the community know what businesses are still running and at what times, how to contact the business, and if there are ways to support them through GoFundMe sites, the purchase of gift cards, remote ordering options, or otherwise. This directory will continue to be available as things return back to some sort of normal, and will help to highlight our local stores, makers, manufacturers, and so on. If you run a business in our community pleasefill out theonline formto be added to the directory, and please share this resource with your network of business owners and entrepreneurs!
THE VIBE offers co-working office space for individuals and businesses to work and hold events. In efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19, THE VIBE spaces have been temporarily unavailable to our renters and members. However, THE VIBE membership is much more than just access to a location, it is a way to tap into resources for businesses and entrepreneurs. Riverworks has decided to offerfree membershipsto THE VIBE for April and May to anyone who would like one. This membership will give you a free online business profile on THE VIBE Members web page to promote your business. It also allows you to be listed in the new business directory (explained above) if you are not already a part of the 53212 zip code. Finally, with a membership, you can access our knowledgeable business development staff for questions and concerns about how to survive and thrive in these trying times. After May, there is no obligation to continue with a paid membership, but if you choose to do so, it will grant you access to our work and conference spaces as soon as we are able to safely open our doors again. Please contactTemo Rodriguezwith any questions or for more information.
